Abstract

This article explores the validity of emanation language to describe the relationship between the Father and the Son, focusing on the Gospel of John. While the term “emanation” carries metaphysical implications, the study analyzes key Johannine texts where Jesus is said to “come forth” from the Father. Through exegetical and theological insights, the research concludes that such expressions relate to Jesus’s incarnation and mission, not his eternal origin. The findings affirm Jesus’s full divinity and unity with the Father, challenging interpretations that suggest subordination or emanation.
