Abstract

Este artículo constituye una traducción del priimer capitulo de la obra de Gerhard F. Hasel, Understanding the Living Word of God (Mountain View, Califómia: Pacific Press Publishing Association, 1980). Theologika agradece tanto al autor como a la Pacitic Press por la autorización para traducir y publicar en español este importante material. En cuanto al autor, Gerhard F. Hasel es un erudito ampliamente conocido en el ámbito académico internacional, en lo que respecta a los estudios bíblicos-teológicos. El artículo aborda la autoridad de la Biblia en tiempos modernos y las raices del eclipse de su autoridad, asi como las soluciones frente a esta problemática. Concluye afirmando que la Biblia debe ser aceptada con autoridad absoluta.
