It analyzes how Israel’s sanctuary purification rituals exemplified divine justice and mercy, foreshadowing the eschatological judgment and the vindication of God’s character. Through a typological approach, the article examines the sanctuary’s role in the divine covenant, the nature of sin and its atonement, and the relevance of these principles for contemporary Christian faith.
